ACCOMODATION
11 farmhouses with 46 apartments (up to 140 guests)
OUR OPINION
This small tuscan village includes a 12th century castle and many farmhouses located around the estate. The estate is surrounded by vineyards and lush greenery. The farmhouses have been restored to maintain their original charm yet they include all modern day amenities for a relaxing and comfortable stay. This is a great venue for mid to large wedding parties as it can accommodate up to 14o guests on site. Horseback riding and a well know spa are located nearby.
"Our daughter got married in Siena at the end of August and after hearing about this castle through a friend we decided to visit. We did our first visit last septmebter and like what we saw and then came back again in april to finish up with planning. Coming from England, we also had guests coming from around the world but particularly from the USA who are much more used to American standards of comfort. However, we downplayed expectations by calling the self catering apartments as "rustic" and in the event everyone loved them. Yes, they lack air conditioning and aparmtments are a little basic but are more than adequate for a short stay.
As far as the castle is concerned for a wedding, it was absolutely stunning. The way the hard working staff transformed the courtyard into the wedding dinner was incredible making the whole place look like a movie lot, but this was for real! What was outstanding was the quality fo the food which was out of this world. We had had our food tasting session during our April visit but simply didn't expect the great quality of the food to be maintained for 100 guests, but it was. The service that went with it was also second to none.
Altogether this is a venue that really should be c onsiderd if you want to get married in Tuscany."

"I was fortunate to be invited as a plus one to a mutual friend's wedding and I have to say I was blown away by this place.
It really is something out of those Hollywood movie set in Italy with weddings taking place in castles. If you are looking to have that fairytale experience then definitely book this place because it can cater to all of your needs and accommodate all of your friends and family.
We were there for 3 days and had an apartment which we shared with two other guests. Each of us had an ensuite bedroom and a fully functional kitchen area along with an outside courtyard. There was access to the pool and we had lunch in the restaurant. We weren't there to do much other than enjoy the glorious weather and sunshine and take part in the wedding. But having said that this is a place that I'd definitely think of visiting for a little romantic getaway as you can plan excursions to the nearby towns of Siena and Florence pretty easily or try out the Thermal spas and wine tasting.
The downsides are that the rooms are slightly dated so it might not cater to those who prefer the modern touch or look to their hotel/apartment rooms. Although everything was functional and clean and comfortable -i t is no frills. You don't get your room serviced so be sure to make good use of your towels and pack some extra toiilet rolls and food essentials as their place is a bit far out to the local amenities.
If you are looking to organize a wedding then I'd recommend it from what I have seen, the whole setting is idyllic and the food, service and decor was all fabulous. I had the best cocktail finger food ever which was served before dinner."

"I got married at the castle in July and would highly recommend as a wedding venue. The castle is about 3km from the local village set in stunning scenery. The accomodation is self catering 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. All are very spacious and have fully equipped kitchens. We had a number of guests who joined us for the week and others staying for 3 nights before the wedding. We were able to select accomodation which kept our party together and was in an area of the grounds where we had it all to ourselves. The restaurant is fabulous. Food was amazing and the caste staff were a great help with the organization. The reception was due to be outside but it rained heavily on the day of the wedding but the room inside is breathtaking and I'm glad we actually had to mve into this room. The evening function was outside in the courtyard and we danced until late! The wedding food was fantastic and we were quite surprised they came round with second helpings of every course! Wine matched perfectly with the food. You need a car, as it is quite remote and not within walking distance to the nearest village. Easy to get to Florence and Siena for day trips."
