"We did not stay the night here as we already booked a Villa to stay in. However, we had our wedding in the beautiful 17th century chapel adjoining the restaurant. From start to finish we had a stunning day, even though it was fall, the sun came out and shone on us. The chapel was breathtaking and we managed to fit a violinist, cellist and tenor from the conservatory of Florence. We had preordered our wedding lunch and as we arrived at 2pm the last guests left and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Our waiter Gianni gave us impeccable service and each dish was delivered in a cloche and we were recommended which wines to try with each meal. The meals were incredibly good, the flavours, presentation, stunning! We are still talking about our special meal, the beautiful menus made especially for us to take home. The grounds were stunning for our wedding photos. if you are wanting a beautiful meal in a beuatiful setting then I can not fault this place. The wines we tried were lovely. We ended up the day with the hotel ordaining a driver back to our villa. If you are thinking of getting married and want to go somewhwere special this is the place!"Anonymous
"Simply perfect! We arrived to find a magnificent property with beautiful views of Tuscany and Cortona. The grounds were beautiful and so well maintained; the property had vineyards, rose bushes, cherry trees, herbs and so many other things that made the landscaping so beautiful. Every morning we woke up to a wonderful breakfast either inside or on the terrace. We would explore Tuscany during the day, and return to a beautiful inn, where we could enjoy some amazing wines that are made on the premises, overlooking a Tuscan sunset. The plus of this place is that they have their own vineyard on site and they make amazing wines (in addition to their michelin star retaurant, which was fantastic). Their 'house' wine is great and their more upscale wine is to die for! Also, the owner hosts the cooking classes that are so much fun. We had soem amazing food and enjoyed not only cooking and learning from her,but meeting another couple from Spain, with whom we enjoyed our meal afterwards. We would travel back to Italy just for another stay here."Pasadena, California
"This Hotel deserves its 5 stars! This family owned hotel surpasses all expectations and really has the comforting and relaxing feel that most big hotels lack. This place has a personality. Pictures cannot do this place justice.
The views of Italy's tuscan countryside are to-die-for. I've never seen anything like it, it truly is heavenly. They own an on-site vineyard, winery, and their wines and olive oils harvested at the hotel grounds are superb. After driving through the small roads to get atop the mountain to arrive here, you meet the very friendly and personable staff.
Every single rooms has it's own personality, very clean, tidy and with udpdated bathrooms. They offer complimentary breakfast. Their huge spa facility offers a beautiful indoor/outdoor spa and offers quality treatments that include some of Italy's natural resources. It's extremely relaxing. They also operate a restaurant ont he hotel grounds, delicious.
Honestly, I could go on for days about this place, it is just that amazing! I wouldn't go anywhere else next time I'm in Italy."LA, California
