OUR OPINION
The panoramic terrace is the ideal location to have cocktails while watching sunsets on the Chianti hills. The reception can take place in the courtyard or loggia of the castle where it is possible to have dinner outside and in the castle staterooms. It’s perfect also for music and dancing.
"We stayed a week and enjoyed every minute. We took day trips and came back at night to our own little piece of paradise. We stayed in the main castle and if you have a problem with steps this is not the room to pick but it worked out fine for us. On our way back from Florence we stopped at a roadside stand to buy fruit, cheese, veggies and yes wine - it was a great spot. We had the most spectacular views from our bedroom windows - all I can saw is amazing"

"My husband and I just returned and we found it absolutely delightful, quaint and comfortable. It was perfect for our restful week enjoying the Tuscan countryside. There were some inconveniences. If you took the bedroom with the twin beds, the most logical bathroom was downstairs so that took some getting used to. The kitchen was simple but had everything we needed (except for a clothes dryer) and we had plenty of equipment to cook delicious meals with local ingredients. The view from our bedroom window was so lovely. It is ideally located for touring Florence, Siena, and San Gimingano. The town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa is nearby and has a small supermarket in addition to local food shops and restaurants where we were able to get fresh sausage, cheese, wine and breads. A little pasta shop in town had delicious fresh pasta to take home for dinner."

"A very romantic facility in the Tuscany hills. Very good place if you want to make a combination btw. sightseeing and relaxing. The castle is close to Firenze (25min by car) and easily reachable by car. The apartments are extremely romantic and well equipped. The pool is large, very silent and not overcrowded. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The wine tasting is enjoyable but the price of 18 Euro for just two red wines and one dessert wine (Vinsanto) is from my point of view to much although a snack (one cheese and bread) is included.

If you are at this place, you need to go to the trattoria just down the hill. This restaurant is a must (appr. 35-40 Euro/Person for an excellent dinner, including drinks)!!!"
