Villa Chianti 2

"We booked all of this Villa to host our wedding party for 3 nights. It was absolutely amazing. It used to be a nobleman's country house, and that's just how we felt- like royalty! It's not 4 star luxury, but it's amazingly beautiful and interesting- and definitely very,very comfortable. I did not want the hotel experience- everyone with their own double room. I love the intimacy and casualness of backyard weddings. We were aiming for a family reunion type of ambience. It was just like that but in this gorgeous setting. This Villa has apartments (very hard to find for less than a weekly rental), although w/all en-suite bathrooms. We also provided all meals for the guests, so for breakfast I just put cereal and things in each kitchen. I planned with the manager- Elisabetta a few meals by their personal cook. They were great, abundant and reasonably priced. The first night we had grilled meats and veggies by the pool, and I planned a brunch for the morning after the wedding. Both meals exceeded expectations. Our reception dinner was at a restaurant very close, which was also perfect. We then had a party in a great hall that went until 5 am. I admit we left a mess, but by breakfast it was sparkling clean. I was able to do absolutely everything the way I wanted to from start to finish. They even let me bring lots of things the day before the guests got there. I can't imagine their flexibility at a hotel elsewhere. I admit there were times when I wasn't sure communication was on track, but it was! Everything I wanted and planned came off without a hitch and once again often exceeded expectations. Our guests are still talking about it one year later. I can't say enough about the Villa and the staff. I had the wedding weekend of my dreams - I wouldn't have changed a thing!"

"We took over the whole villa and cottage for 35 friends and family with another 20 staying in the nearby town of Radda. The Villa facade is stunning and was the perfect setting for our wedding on the lawn looking over the beautiful countryside.
Our guests loved the Villa which we treated as our own for the weekend with only the housekeeper Caterina on site to help out with any problems. The villa has recently been refurbished inside but is still full of character - sure the plumbing creaks a bit but that all adds to the atmosphere.
We held our reception in the main hall in the rear courtyard which is a magical place at night by candlelight. You need a car because the setting is fairly remote - but what a setting perched on a hill overlooking the vineyards. The villa wine is lovely and very good value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend hiring out the whole place for a special occasion. All in all a great few days and a wonderful start to married life."

"We held our wedding in the Villa in June of this year. After viewing several venues we chose this Villa because of it's amazing location. We booked both the Villa and the cottage and had our family stay there. We were pleasantly surprised to find some renovation work had been done since we had originally viewed the property.
We had our reception on the front lawn as the sun set and drank the Villa’s wine long into the night. I would thoroughly recommend this Villa as a wedding Venue and i'm sure it would make an ideal holiday venue also."
